Colorless to pale yellow with a warm, spicy-sweet characteristic scent. It is a good masking agent in perfumery.

Antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, diuretic, expectorant, galactagogue, stimulant, stomachic.
Safety:
Anethole is known to cause dermatitis, and it is to be avoided in allergic and inflammatory skin conditions. Use in moderation. Avoid during pregnancy.
Primary Therapy Agent:
Indigestion, flatulence.
Secondary Therapy Agent:
Aches & pains, rheumatism, bronchitis, coughs, colic, cramp, gastric spasm, colds/flu.
