Characteristics:
A pale yellow or pinkish liquid with an intense sweet-woody, almost fruity odor. It blends well with oregano, mints, thyme, ylang-ylang, narcissus, and vanilla.
Principal Constituents:
These are naturally occurring in the essential oil.

General Actions:
Anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, antitussive, astringent, carminative, diuretic, emmenagogue, galactagogue, stimulant.
Safety:
Methyl salicylate is the main active ingredient in aspirin, and wintergreen has been used for ‘sore muscle rubs’ for a long time; however, due to these levels it should not be used indiscriminately. It is considered topically irritant and sensitizing, and should never be taken internally without physician oversight.

Wart treatment.

No specific secondary uses. Perfumery use only.
