Myrtle oil is a pale yellow to orange liquid with a fresh, camphoraceous, herbal scent similar to eucalyptus. It blends well with bay leaf, bergamot, clary sage, clove, hyssop, ginger, lavandin, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, rosemary, and thyme oils.
These are naturally occurring in the essential oil.
Antibacterial, anti-catarrhal, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, balsamic, deodorant, expectorant, nervine, regulatory, mildly sedative.
Myrtle oil is listed GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe), and is considered non-toxic, non-irritating and non-sensitizing.
Primary Therapy Agent:
Acne, oily skin, hemorrhoids, hormonal imbalance, hypothyroidism, asthma, colds, flu, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, tuberculosis, headaches.
Secondary Therapy Agent:
Insomnia, chest congestion, anxiety, frigidity or loss of libido, impotence, cystitis, urinary infections.
