Characteristics:
Star anise oil is a pale yellow mobile liquid with a sharp, licorice-like aroma. It blends well with chamomile, cinnamon, clove, cypress, fennel, geranium, lavender, neroli, nutmeg, orange, peppermint, petitgrain, pine, rose, rosewood, and tea tree oils.

General Actions:
Anti-spasmodic, carminative, deodorant, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, stimulant, stomachic.
Safety:
Star anise oil should only be used externally, and may cause dermatitis in sensitive individuals. High doses of star anise oil can be narcotic and slow circulation. Star anise oil should not be used on damaged skin, in cases of liver disease, alcoholism, paracetamol use, or hyperplasia, or by those who have estrogen-dependent conditions including endometrial cancer. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use star anise oil.
Primary Therapy Agent:
Bronchitis, coughs, cold and flu, colic, cramps, indigestion, rheumatism.
Secondary Therapy Agent:
Asthma, congestion, impotence, migraine, menstrual discomfort.
